Presentation Marking Guidelines

Part of your assessment is to summarise and provide a mark for the presentations given by other tutorial members.  Begin by writing a short overview of the presentation (1-2 paragraphs is fine), then assess it according to the concepts below.  At the end of this page, in the comments section, you must state the grade you would give it and the reasons why.

The Introduction:
Is there an introduction including a clear description of the key issues and how the presentation will be organised?

 

 

 

 

The literature review:
Are the sources of material used for researching the project identified? Is there more than one source of information? Are the references used to support the argument or is the presentation a restatement of the references? 

 

 

 

 

Mode of presentation:  are the materials used suitable for the presentation?  Did it help to get the ideas across?

 

 

 

 

Multiple presenters:
If there is more than one person presenting, or if there are multiple component to the presentation are they linked together?

 

 

 

 

The arguments:
Are relevant examples used to illustrate key points (either from the literature or own examples).
Are good reasoning skills employed? 

 

 

 

 

Presentation purpose:
Can you identify the purpose of the presentation and does it do what it sets out to do?
Partially? Totally?

 

 

 

 

The conclusion:
Is there a good conclusion pulling the presentation together?
