Welcome to the course which was originally designed as a self study support program for Primary Education students intending to teach in NSW. Here functional grammar is the basis for the approach taken in language and literacy classrooms.
You will see that Parts 1-3 look at whole texts and this order was chosen to cater for a particular Education unit. Depending on your experience with functional grammar, you may prefer to start with at Parts 4-6 where a more traditional approach to grammar is taken, and do the work on whole texts later.
