What is style? According to Moon (1990) style:
refers to aspects of word choice, syntax and sentence structure that are distinctive in a text. Styles are defined in relation to the dominant codes of literary writing and reading. Attention to style is important because the organisation of these elements can influence the way a text is read and the meanings that arise from this.
