Dr. Elsie S. K. Chan

My Chinese name is Siu King (Siu King), which literally means small fine jade. I was born and educated in Hong Kong. I started my teaching career in the early 1980s after graduation from the College of Education. Having obtained my MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence at University of Essex, United Kingdom in the late 1980's, I have been lecturing in various universities in Hong Kong, China and Macau.


I migrated to Australia in 1994. I taught in a number of universities in Melbourne. In 2000, I was granted a PhD scholarship at Deakin University, and was conferred my PhD degree in 2004.  On 12 January 2004, I joined the School of Business and Informatics, Australian Catholic University (ACU) as Lecturer in Information Systems at Melbourne campus. I was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Business in 2008. I am teaching Marketing, Accounting and Information System subjects at undergraduate and post-graduate level in the School of Business (Melbourne). I am Faculty Advisor of SIFE Australian Catholic Univerity.


My current research focuses on eMarketing, Management Accounting and Blended Learning.
